Dear colleagues in ministry,
As of today, I am leaving the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry.
It was not an easy decision to leave the agency, especially after such a short time. However, family circumstances and emerging opportunities necessitate attention and alter plans. As of Monday, February 6, I will be the new academic dean and coordinator at Pfeiffer University’s Charlotte campus. I am excited about this new role, as it keeps me within the UM fold working at one of our UM-related schools while providing me the opportunity to be closer to home and challenge myself professionally.
It has been a pleasure serving you through the general church. Your creative and persevering commitment to ministry on the campus and advancing the intellectual life of the church and the cultures and communities in which you serve is commendable and needs to be broadcast widely and regularly. I am proud of the work we have shared. And, don’t worry, I am not disappearing from the world of collegiate ministry, as I will continue to work with the agency, editing resources and offering consultations as needed.
Thank you for all that you have done and will do. It has been more than a privilege.
Keep in touch.
